Cornwall Design Guide
We’ve always worked closely with the Liskeard Town Forum, and it was through them that we were invited to comment of the draft Design Guide. Our work is about regeneration using flowers and engaging with local community groups. So we had some comments to make on what what was being proposed whilst adding in a few of our own. You can read the Forum’s response here, but in summary, we have asked that developers making planning applications should consider how any open spaces they provide will be properly maintained (and by whom); consult with local communities beforehand; consider that public spaces – with appropriate planting – can also be used as event space; ease of maintenance; and imagination! (especially when designing low maintenance plant schemes)
Listen with Bloom
We were offered our own radio programme by Liskeard Radio in November 2019, and produced a weekly programme devoted to greening, gardening and growing. We made a point of featuring local groups, heroes and shops to talk up the many other people working to make Liskeard beautiful. Hoping to be back for Christmas 2020!
Christmas Tree Festival 2019
